-The scuffle at 3A classroom on 26 March 2008-

During recess time, i was walking back to class at about 11.10 am, a fight broke out at 3A class room and one of the sec 3 student, Quek Ming Hao, along with 2 other sec 4 seniors students had been injured during the process.

I had just finished my lunch and i was walking back to class along the 5th floor corridor. That was when i noticed a group of students in 3A classroom were playing loudly before suddenly falling into awkward silence. I glanced in and saw two students were staring into each other eyes in astonishment. One of the two students, Wilson Yen, had his shirt half stained with black ink. While the other student, Bryan Soon, was holding a black pen, which had its tip broken off, the ink kept dripping on the floor. Before i could comprehend what had happened, Wilson started to yell at Bryan at the top of his voice and Bryan was countering him in a no different manner. Both trying to find guilt of other party. From my observation, Wilson seemed to have insulted Bryan in very harsh manner and Bryan could no longer restrain himself and swung a punch at Wilson's face.

A fight broke out as they dashed for each other and the class became chaotic. Students who were going back to classes gathered around the corridor. Some of them were even cheering "Fight! Fight! Fight!" I was shouting my lungs out telling them to stop but it was to no avail. I tried to make my way through the jostling crowd. Wilson was now slamming Bryan and they fell onto the floor with continuous exchange of punches. I yelled at them again while commanding the crowd to make way for me to go through. The intense fighting on the floor caused the tables to slide around the classroom. Unfortunately Ming Hao, who was stunned by the fight, was pushed by the table and his head hit on the edge of the window plane. The crowd at the window immediately jerked away and i dashed towards Ming Hao to help him. The back of his head was bleeding profusely due to a long cut by the mirror plane. Ming Hao was groaning in pain while Wilson and Bryan were still fighting, oblivious to the surrounding. That was what seemed to be my last straw if not because of the two seniors.

Fadhill and Nawawi were walking pass the class when the commotion began and decided to come in to help. each of then tried to pull Wilson and Bryan apart. However, Wilson struggled off Fadhill and sent off a full swing punch towards Bryan. Bryan was able to dodge the punch in the last seconds and it went straight for Nawawi's face. Nawawi was knocked down on the floor, lips broken and blooding was sipping out. Fadhill was trying to place himself between them and was pushed away before banging hard onto the tables.

While everything seemed to be in total disaster, the discipline master, Mr Maran, together with other sec 4 seniors, approached. The seniors finally had both Wilson and Bryan apart. Each of them had several bruises on the faces and arms. The appearing of the discipline master seemed to stop all activities. By-standers were ordered to go back to classes. I was to accompany the injured people to the sick bay. The remainder pupils were to followed Mr Maran back to his office.

I feel that this incident was a lesson learnt for everyone. Both of them are equally wrong, they did not try to talk with one another to settle the problem, what they did was to fight eye for eye. By understanding each other can prevent a lots more trouble.
